When and how did you get into derby?

Showed up to my wife's first week of practice, because she was so excited about it, and I love skating.

How much of your time would you say you dedicate to roller derby (or roller derby related activities) in an average week?

What kind of athletic experience did you have before getting involved with roller derby?

Golf, football, baseball, basketball, shot put and discus, general strength training, and running.

What's the most meaningful lesson you've learned from roller derby?

The value of true teamwork.

What advice would you give to a new skater?

Learn to play the long game. Your progress won't be counted on days.

Why is being a Middle Georgia Derby Demon important to you?

MGDD is an empowering family that strives to improve its community.

What's one thing you wish everyone understood about this sport?

In spite of it being a contact sport, safety is still number one.

Who's your derby idol and why?

Biceptual, because she's a bad ass blocker that integrates her wall, but always puts on a solo blocking clinic when needed.

Favorite post-bout/practice meal?

Pizza or burgers.

Hobbies outside of roller derby?

Working with my hands around the house and on my vehicles, and cooking.
