The Middle Georgia Derby Demons is Middle Georgia's premier flat track roller derby league. We serve our community by empowering women and girls, providing hard-hitting entertainment for our fans, and supporting charitable causes.

MGDD was founded in April of 2011 by a group of men and women looking to bring the fast-paced and exciting sport of roller derby to Macon and the surrounding area. We are now finishing up our 5th competitive season and are looking forward to the continued growth and prosperity of the league.

The majority of our members joined without roller derby or skating experience. Through the past six years, we've developed and grown our training program to include clinics from top skaters around the country while also providing encouragement, support, and knowledge to even the newest of players. For those interested in joining MGDD, please contact us at training@middlegeorgiaderby.com

Our current practice schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday: 6pm - 8pm Vet/Advanced, 8pm - 9pm Endurance (all levels can participate)

  • Thursday: 6pm - 7pm Vet/Advanced, 7pm - 8pm Scrimmage, 8pm - 9pm Newbie/Level 1,2

  • Saturday: 9am - 11am  Vet/Advanced, 11am - 12pm Newbie/Level 1,2

As a member owned and operated organization, MGDD is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our skaters and community by participating in local events and activities while working to increase recognition of women’s flat-track roller derby. We focus on advancing our organization by encouraging teamwork, dedication and cultivating the individual talents and strengths of all our members. We are committed to excellence, both on and off the track.
